Links and Crap

Art Dorks
Good illustration work here and some nice paintings

Morning Craft
Morning Craft has some new stuff for the holidays.

Eric Baldwin
Works by the man named above. A little slow loading but definitely worth the wait. There is some great stuff there.

I am in a crappy mood. Even that awesome art above cannot cheer me up.

So yeah I am here at work. Its slowed down a little which is exciting. I wanna do some personal stuff here but its been so busy that has been out of the question. One being finishing Erica's T-shirt. I am so sorry. Another being getting images together for my site that Mason Poe is working on. I would also just like to piss off and not do anything for a while. That would be nice.

This friday I am featured in a show at RedSky Gallery in Phillips Place. The opening is 7-9 I think. come if you want. It should be interesting. I mean, Its Phillips Place.

good day.

Since I know most of you guys don't actually click on my links there are some images of whats so hillarious from my previous entry. These are actually different images but in my personal opinion, better.

I'm looking forward to "A Series of Unfortunate Events", "The Life Aquatic", "Closer" and "The Machinist" truly.

Deuce, you are still my friend. Quit acting like a bitch.

So what trips do I want to make next year:

NYC (again)
Holland (or somewhere across the water)
SF
Los Angeles
Ryan Hale's front Door
Nashville (again)

who wants to go with me?

Thanksgivings, Penguin, Steeple, Work, KIng and I, Borders, Eckerd, Holiday Inn Bar, RJ Gators, Breakfast Club.

thats what I've been doing.

I havent been doing...

A lot of surfing, thinking, rationalizing.

I am sort of hungover on this morning. Yes, thats true.

Whats better than a dance off between Destiny's Child and Destiny's Child?

nothing.

A post... [Dec. 24th, 2004|04:09 am]
[transmitting |Green Day]

So I haven't posted in a couple days. I haven't had much to say.

Sideways movie poster

Last night I went and saw "Sideways" with Sarah H. It was definitely a good movie. A little slow at time. It's nice to see Paul Giamatti get a little "Oscar Buzz". I've liked the guy for a long time. I would recommend seeing it maybe on a lazy Sunday afternoon or maybe Saturday. Thanksgiving evening would be a great time too. There are some great laughs and good emotion scattered through this movie.

I browsed the Low Gallery Site and saw some images I liked. Here they are some names are links.

Chris Duncan

Caitlin Kuhwald

Stefan Kuhwald

Nate Crane

Alika Cooper

The Fall/Winter season feels really lonely.

Maybe more later.

I used to hang out with this fella...I miss him

These pictures came from my first Instamatic Camera. I've since thrown it away because it worked but it was a mass pain in the ass. With these I scanned the negatives and inverted them. Anywho. I like em but whatever.

WTF [Dec. 16th, 2004|12:50 am]
[I'm |so gay]
[transmitting |US auto Credit]

Me, Jenny and Erica went to see a movie a few weeks ago we then went to San Remo's I almost puked after eating there and I never puke. I had the Beef Steak and Fried Okra. Don't eat there. Its gross. Sarah H. says that the only reason that place stays open is because of drug dealers and whores...I think that was the combo...and I think it was Sarah H. that said it. Thats all.

ODB died the other day but you all knew that. I straight up loved that dude. More so early on than later. Return to the 36 Chambers was an awesome album. Sad.

Self-Explanatory especially with that blurb

Deuce is so good at catching the "gay" me. I mean Gay in the meanest un-PC way possible too.

I went to shows [Dec. 15th, 2004|09:38 am]
[I'm |ready to pump out some ads.]
[transmitting |Nothing]

This weekend was filled with shows and shit.

Friday: Me, Jenny, Sarah and Jason drove to Winston-Salem to see The Avett Brothers. Obviously a good show. They really raised the bar for Cast Iron Filter (the Avetts were opening for them at their CD release). I would like to say that we were good concert goers and stayed around for the headliner but we didn't. We made the quick trek back to Charlotte and stopped by Liz's house briefly.

Saturday: Deuce, Jason and I went out to eat at The Mushroom and then ventured to the Milestone on Tuck-a-Skegee to see Labia Minor and Captured by Robots. I will go on record and say that Captured by Robots was awesome. It's like Chuck E. Cheese meets Mystery Science Theater mixed with blood and guts and drugs and sex. After the show we took Jason back home and went to Landmark to meet up with Jenny, James and Rachel. Toni Braxton, Convo and Laughs.

Sunday: I did a lot of clean up around the house and then went to the little Fu's Tattoo art show. Those things are always hit or miss. There was definitely some great work there though. As I was there my sister called and offered me free tickets to Talib Kweli. I went and like most Hip Hip shows it started late. The openers sucked pretty hard but Talib Kweli was great as per usual. He did mostly stuff off Beautiful Struggle and al of his "hits" so most of the music was familiar to everyone. Rachel met me there and we had a good time people watching and stuff.

more later... pretty busy at work.
